How to remove titles and overlay text from a video
Social videos often carry titles, calls to action and animated text on top. If you want to reuse your video on another network, in another language or without an expired promotion, they have to go.
The challenge is erasing only the text that was added on top and not the text that is part of what was filmed: a product label, a sign, the logo on a T-shirt.
A real example

The same frame before and after removing the subtitles with eraseli. The hills move and the background is rebuilt by copying the real pixels from other frames.
Try with 3 free minutes
No card. The 3-second preview is always free.
Step by step
- Upload your video. Open the eraseli editor and upload the video.
- For a fixed title, draw a box. Mark the title with a box and fit its block on the timeline to the part where it appears. The engine adjusts the real start and end by itself.
- For lots of text, use Full removal. The engine finds the overlay text (still, with extreme-color letters) and keeps the text on objects, which moves with the scene.
- Check with the preview. 3 free seconds to see how it looks before processing.
- Download and reuse. Now you can add your new text in your editor.
Moving text
A title that slides in changes place on every frame. eraseli follows the text mask frame by frame and copies the background from the frames where that area was free.
When in doubt, it doesn't erase
In full removal, if the engine isn't sure a text is an overlay, it leaves it: erasing a product label is worse than leaving a text.
Frequently asked questions
Can it remove watermarks?
Only if they are yours or you have permission. Removing someone else's watermark or credits without permission is against the terms of use.
What if the text has a shadow or outline?
The mask grows a few pixels to cover the shadow, outline and glow of the letters.
Can I erase only part of the video?
Yes: each box is erased only during its block on the timeline.
